Commissioners Welcome New Senior Budget Accountant

                                                                                                    

Snow Hill, Maryland (March 16, 2023) – The Worcester County Commissioners named Lynn Wright as the new senior budget accountant in County Administration.

“I am thrilled to have Lynn join the budget team,” Budget Officer Kim Reynolds said. “With her prior knowledge and experience, she will be a true asset.”

West Ocean City Commercial Harbor Parking Lot to be Closed March 16 and 17 for Restriping

The West Ocean City Commercial Harbor Parking Lot will be closed March 16 and 17, 2023 for restriping, weather permitting. The parking lot will be unavailable to residents and boaters during the restriping process, which should be concluded by the end of the week for the facility to reopen Saturday, March 18.

Worcester County to Host Public Hearing April 6 on Land Preservation, Parks, and Recreation Plan

Snow Hill, Maryland – the Worcester County Planning Commission will host a public hearing on the draft Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan (LPPRP) April 6, 2023 at 1:05 p.m. The hearing will take place in the Board Room on the first floor of the Worcester County Government Center in Snow Hill. 

Public Works to Conduct Sewer System Smoke Testing March 1-10 in West Ocean City

Worcester County Public Works Water and Wastewater (WWW) Division will conduct smoke testing of the sanitary sewer system from March 1-10, 2023 between Center Drive and Golf Course Road.

This study will involve opening and entering manholes in the streets and public utility easements to locate breaks and defects in the sewer system. The smoke will also reveal where storm and other surface water enters the sewer system.
