“The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire in a single family home located at 11811 St. Martin’s Neck Road in Bishopville, Maryland (today’s date). The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Arriving fire units reported heavy smoke emitting from the home. Volunteer Fire Companies from Showell, Bishopville, Ocean Pines, Ocean City and Sussex County Delaware responded to the 6:40AM fire. No injuries were reported.  The fire is still under investigation and no fire cause has been determined as of this release.”

“The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office has determined the fire which occurred on June 22, 2021 at 12847 Harbor Road in West Ocean City, Maryland to be intentional (or Arson). The 1:51AM fire destroyed an unoccupied home and boat house and also damaged three additional houses.  Two firefighters received injuries while battling the fire.

The fire also damaged three adjacent single family homes. The structure of fire origin was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Arriving fire units reported a single family home and an adjacent out-building on fire. Volunteer Fire Companies from Berlin, Ocean City and Ocean Pines responded to the 1:51AM fire.
