Worcester County Commissioners present a proclamation recognizing March as Professional Social Work Month

March 1, 2022, Worcester County Commissioners present a proclamation recognizing March as Professional Social Work Month to professionals representing the Department of Social Services (DSS), Worcester County Health Department, and Life Crisis to recognize the vital role of social workers in meeting the most pressing challenges of all of our lifetimes, the COVID-19 pandemic. Social workers, the largest group of mental healthcare providers in the United States, are trained to help people address personal and systemic barriers to optimal living, enhance human well-being, and help meet the basic needs of all people, especially the most vulnerable among us.
