Newark Water Treatment Plant - Tues., Aug. 13.: crews will be repairing a filter leak. Homeowner’s in the Newark Sanitary Service Area may experience brown water from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. that same day. Worcester County Water Department staff will flush the lines following repairs, which should clear the lines and eliminate any brown water. However, residents are urged to turn on their faucets and let the water run to confirm it is clear prior to use. Residents who experience any brown water for an extended period of time after allowing the water to run are encouraged to call 410-641-5251.
