Heavy Rain, Strong Winds and Coastal Flooding Expected

A significant mid-Atlantic coastal storm moves north and just offshore. Heavy rain, strong winds, moderate to major coastal flooding, and significant marine impacts are expected tonight through Sunday and into Monday.
 

Key Updates:

Coastal flood and high wind warnings now in effect for Worcester’s coastal and inland areas
Expected rain totals 1.5-2” with higher amounts possible, especially along the coast. Most rainfall should occur during the day tomorrow.
Winds increase late tonight with sustained gusts of 40-50mph with 55+ possible along the coast.
Residents in low-lying or flood-prone areas are strongly encouraged to prepare contingency plans in the event relocation becomes necessary.
