Snow Hill, Maryland (December 9, 2022) – Seeking a rewarding, full-time career in emergency services? If so, we invite you to meet with Worcester County Emergency Services (WCES) and Human Resources professionals during a job fair in the Worcester County Government Center’s 3rd floor training room in Snow Hill from 12-3 p.m. on December 15.

“If you are looking for a fast-paced, rapidly-evolving, and highly-rewarding career in essential public services, we want to meet you,” WCES Director Billy Birch said. “Our 9-1-1 specialists make a difference in citizens’ lives with each call they answer, and they protect our first responders with each dispatch for police, fire, and emergency medical services. Essentially, 9-1-1 specialists are super heroes in headsets, and our team needs a few more super heroes.”

December 15, talk directly with WCES professionals about becoming a 9-1-1 Specialist, learn about the many career training and advancement opportunities available, and submit an application onsite. Prior experience is not required. Worcester County provides paid training, a welcoming, team-centered environment, a generous full-benefits package, career advancement opportunities, and membership in the Maryland State Retirement System.
