On Wednesday, April 13, 2022 we were requested to assist the Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Company and Ocean Pines PD with an incident located at 56 Battersea Road in Ocean Pines. First responding units from both the fire service and the police department located an unconscious, unresponsive occupant. A vehicle, located in an attached garage, was found running and it appeared the vehicle had been running for an extended period of time due to the conditions in the garage and the CO levels in the house. The State of Maryland Medical Examiner’s Office also assisted with the investigation.
Later in the day on April 13, 2022 we were requested by the Berlin Volunteer Fire Company and the Maryland State Police to assist with an automobile accident located at 10580 Worcester Highway, Berlin, Maryland. The passenger vehicle had left the highway, ending up in a storm water retention pond. The vehicle was leaking fluids into the retention pond. The Worcester County Hazmat Team responded and mitigated the fluids leaking into the retention pond.
