At its December 6, 2017, meeting, the Worcester County Board of Elections approved:
Changing the polling place for District 5, Precinct 1, Community Church of Ocean Pines, to the Showell Elementary School at 11318 Showell School Road, Berlin, Md,
New voter notification cards will be mailed to those voters showing the change of their polling place. The specimen ballots mailed to those voters will show the new polling place, and there will also be signage at the old polling place on Election Day notifying voters where their new polling place is located.

2018 ELECTION VOTER INFORMATION
The last day to change party affiliation and to register to vote in the Primary is June 5, 2018 at 9 p.m.
The early voting polling location is Gull Creek Senior Center Community Sunroom. Gull Creek is located at One Meadow Street in Berlin, Maryland.
• June 26, 2018 - Polls open 7 am to 8 pm
• Early Voting - Thursday, June 14 through Thursday, June 21, 2018. Polls open from 10 am until 8 pm.
• November 6, 2018 - Polls open 7 am to 8 pm
• Early Voting - Thursday, October 25 through Thursday, November 1, 2018. Polls open from 10 am until 8 pm.

Call the Board of Elections to request an Absentee Ballot Application. We will begin accepting absentee ballot applications for the 2018 Elections beginning January 2, 2018. An Absentee Ballot Application is available from the Worcester County Board of Elections
office or online at https://voterservices.elections.maryland.gov/OnlineVoterRegistration
. Absentee Ballot Applications must be submitted no later than 7 days before an election. Absentee Ballots must be received by our office on Election Day. The Absentee Ballots are usually available to voters 45 days prior to the election. Please allow ample time for mailing the application and ballot. Additional postage may be required to return your voted ballot by mail.
2018 ELECTION CANDIDATE INFORMATION
The deadline to file candidacy is February 27, 2018. For more information on running for an elected office, please visit the State of Maryland's website http://www.elections.maryland.gov
Voter registration applications are available at all libraries, post offices, Motor Vehicle Department, schools, city halls and state offices, or you can call our office and request an application to be mailed to you. You can also download a voter registration application at http://elections.maryland.gov/voter_registration/application.html
. You can register to vote in Worcester County if you will be 18 years of age or older by November 6, 2018.
The deadline to register to vote in the Primary Election is June 5, 2018. Our office will be open until 9 pm on that date.
To Change your Name or Address
You can use the Voter Registration Application mentioned above to change your name and address, or you can call our office and we will send you a form to change your name or address. We must have your signature on the form before we can make any changes to your registration.
How do I verify my registration?
You are considered a registered voter when you receive your Voter Notification Card from your local board of elections. If you do not receive your card three weeks after you submit an application, you should contact our office.

. Registration is permanent as long as you continue to live in Maryland and keep your name and address current with your local board of elections. You do not have to re-register when you move within the State, but you must keep your address current.
