Starting Dec. 5, Roads Division contractor, Allan Myers, will begin resurfacing various county roads, weather permitting. Work will begin on McCabes Corner Road, then move on to Cherrix, Holly Swamp, St. Lukes, Greenbriar, and Shingle Landing Roads. Flaggers will be on hand to safely guide motorists through work zones. Motorcyclists, please be aware of uneven pavement surface during the project.
Drivers should expect minor traffic delays during work hours. While roadwork may inconvenience travelers, we urge motorists to remain alert and patient in work zones. Hot asphalt may require up to two hours to cool before drivers and pedestrians can safely cross the new road surface.
