Worcester County Recreation & Parks (WCRP) offers a great After School Sports lineup this spring, and there’s sure to be at least one that peaks your child's interest.
After School Tennis will return for another spring session. Open to participants in grades kindergarten - 8, this program will run on Mondays, April 11 - May 16. Children will have the opportunity to have fun and get plenty of exercise while learning tennis fundamentals. The registration deadline for tennis is Thursday, April 7.
After School Dodgeball returns thanks to popular demand! This program will take place on Tuesdays for participants in grades 4 - 8. Participants will play traditional dodgeball games and other versions of this favorite game throughout the session. This program runs April 5 - May 17, and the registration deadline is Friday, April 1.
After School Field Hockey is back this spring too and is open to participants in grades kindergarten - 8. This program will run on Thursdays, April 7 - May 12, and will introduce the sport of field hockey, teaching the basic skills of the game through drills and modified games. The registration deadline for field hockey is Monday, April 4.
All of the After School programs will run from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. at the Worcester County Recreation Center (WCRC) in Snow Hill. Transportation will be provided from the Snow Hill Elementary and Middle Schools to the WCRC. Parents and guardians will pick up their children from the WCRC.
The cost for each of these youth programs is $30 per player per program ($25for each additional sibling). Fees will increase by $5 for those who register after the registration deadline. Financial aid is available for those who demonstrate a need.
