County officials are proud to announce that the newly renovated Cedar Hall Boat Ramp is once again open for use to recreational boaters.
The boat ramp, located six miles from U.S. Rt. 13 off MD Rt. 371 in Pocomoke, underwent a four-month renovation project that began after Labor Day.
Enhancements to the facility include an extended ramp that reaches out further into the river, floating finger piers and wheel stops on the ramp. The improvements make it possible for more boats to safely access the boat ramp.
“This modernized launching facility will provide improved access to boaters who choose to explore the beautiful Pocomoke River, which has navigable waters from north of Snow Hill to the lower Chesapeake Bay,” Public Works Director John Tustin said.
The project was funded by a combination of Waterway Improvement Grants (WIG) from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and assigned designated funds from Worcester County.
