Pocomoke Home Damage By Unattended Cooking

Early Saturday morning, October 7, 2017 Pocomoke, New Church, Stockton and Snow Hill volunteer fire companies were alerted on a residential box alarm for a report of a house fire at 2230 Bypass Road in Pocomoke.  Arriving firefighters found fire in kitchen area of the house. The fire was quickly extinquished and damage contained to the kitchen with smoke damage throughout the remainder of the residence. The cause of the fire is listed as accidental and contributed to unattended cooking.  The property is owned by Tony Trader and the home was occupied at the time of the fire by Thomas and Tina Brown.
