Mobile Home and RV Destroyed in Berlin Fire

The Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a fire which destroyed a mobile home and a recreation vehicle.  The fire occurred at 7:50PM on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 9847 Timmonstown Road in Berlin.  Fire Companies from Berlin, Newark, Ocean Pines, Powellville and Willards responded to the fire.  Arriving units found the RV fully consumed with fire with fire extending to the mobile home and an outside shed.  The fire was extinguished with no injuries.  No one was home at the time of the fire, but three cats of the occupant perished in the fire.  The property is owned by the Russell Lambert Estate and was occupied by Pete Scholtz.  The cause of the fire is listed as undetermined and anyone with information is asked to call Fire Marshal Jeff McMahon at 410.632.5666 or jmcmahon@co.worcester.md.us
