County officials have postponed the project to reconstruct the Cedar Hall boat ramp, which is located six miles from U.S. Rt. 13 off MD Rt. 371 in Pocomoke, to allow recreational boaters to use the ramp throughout the summer.
The reconstruction project, which was originally scheduled to begin May 26, is now scheduled to begin after Day 2015 and take approximately 120 days to complete.
This three-month project will cost approximately $174,417 for the reconstruction of the boat ramp, which will include extending the ramp further into the river, floating finger piers and providing wheel stops on the ramp, thereby allowing more boats to safely access the boat ramp. Project funding is available through Waterway Improvement Grants (WIG) from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and assigned designated funds from Worcester County.
