Would-be entrepreneurs invited to pitch business ideas on Start-Up Maryland Entrepreneur Pitch Bus in Berlin on Monday, Sept. 12

Area business owners and would-be entrepreneurs are cordially invited to join the Start-Up Maryland Entrepreneur Pitch Bus for its visit to Berlin on Monday, September 12, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. The Pitch Bus will be parked in the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church parking lot at 3 Church Street.

The visit is designed to promote the county’s entrepreneurial culture and emphasize the importance of growing and sustaining local businesses, which strengthen our economy.
“Entrepreneurs interested in starting or expanding existing businesses will record their business pitch, which will then be posted to Twitter to be voted on by the public. WCED Director Merry Mears said. “Winners of that contest will be selected to pitch to angel investors for funding opportunities.”
Mears and area elected officials will host the opening ceremony. Entrepreneurs interested in starting or growing their existing businesses are encouraged to register to pitch their business ideas during the visit by contacting Mears at 410-632-3112.
