The Worcester County Commissioners will hold a public hearing to receive comments on the Fiscal Year 2021 Operating Budgets for the Agencies and Departments which are funded by the Worcester County Commissioners. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in lieu of public appearance, the
meeting will be held remotely via video teleconference. If you would like to speak at this public hearing you must register in advance at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_R7VZcbCZRwqWickNDZKfVw . Participants who join the video/audio conference will be enabled to
speak by the meeting chair. Speakers will be allowed to address the County Commissioners for up to two (2) minutes. Stage One of the ‘Maryland Strong: Roadmap to Recovery’ took effect on May 15th at 5:00 pm, with the state moving from a Stay at Home order to a Safer at Home public health advisory, and gradual reopenings of retail, manufacturing, houses of worship, and some personal services.
“We are going to follow the Governor’s guidelines to a tee, we believe he has the right plan for Maryland moving forward,” Joe Mitrecic, Worcester County Commissioners President, said.
On April 15, 2020, Governor Hogan announced an executive order requiring the wearing of face coverings when inside any retail establishments and when riding any form of public transportation in Maryland.
