Volunteers make Worcester County a better place to live, work, and visit. To honor volunteers whose contributions help improve the quality of life here locally, Worcester County residents are invited to nominate individuals, organizations and businesses for the 2015 Volunteer Spirit of Worcester County Awards. The deadline to submit nomination forms is June 10, 2015. A recognition ceremony for all nominees will take place in August.
Nominations will be accepted with one winner chosen from each of the following 10 categories: youth, individual, lifetime achievement, faith-based, group/team, non-profit volunteer program, corporate/business, community of service, service-learning leader, and exemplary service-learning. Nominees should reside in and represent the volunteer spirit of Worcester County.
The annual Volunteer Spirit of Worcester County awards program is run in cooperation with the annual Governor’s Service Awards recognition program.
