Mission Statement

The mission statement of the Worcester County Jail in the interest of public safety is to provide a safe, secure, and humane place of confinement for those persons committed by any Judicial System. The jail maintains custody of those persons sentenced by the courts and those in a pre-trial status who are financially unable to post bond or those who by virtue of the court are to be held without bond.

Directions:
From North, I-95 South to Wilmington , DE , US 1 to Rt 13 South to Salisbury , MD. Once in Salisbury locate US Rt 13 South Norfolk Bypass (right exit) across from Centre at Salisbury/Shopping Mall. Take right exit but stay to left.

From West, Baltimore DC area, US Rt 50 East across Bay Bridge, travel to Salisbury, MD, Just west of Salisbury look for Route 13 Bypass (Norfolk) South.

From South, RT 13 North to US Rt 113 North, travel approximately nine miles to intersection of US Rt 113 and Bay Street . Turn left onto Bay Street , left on Joyner Road jail at 5022 Joyner Road .

***Travel on US 13 Bypass to Route 12 exit, Snow Hill, (right exit), down the ramp to left, left at stop and travel @16 miles into Snow Hill. Turn left at traffic light, travel two blocks to Bay Street , turn right onto Bay Street travel @ 1 mile to Joyner Road , Turn right onto Joyner Road , Jail at 5022 Joyner Road .
