Agencies Dispatched By The Department

Our center dispatches for nine of the ten Fire Departments & six of the seven EMS companies in the County. They are:

Station 100 Pocomoke -- ALS
Station 200 Stockton -- Medic Assist
Station 300 Girdletree -- Medic Assist
Station 400 Snow Hill -- ALS
Station 500 Newark -- ALS
Station 600 Berlin -- ALS
Station 700 Ocean City (calls for service are transferred to them) -- ALS
Station 800 Showell -- ALS
Station 900 Bishopville – ALS
Station 1100 Ocean Pines – ALS

Medic Assist Company - Will send First Reponders / EMT's to the scene until ambulance arrives

Police Agencies

The Worcester County Sheriff's Office and the Snow Hill Police Department utilize the same talk group for day to day operations on the county's EDACS 800 MHz radio system. Both agencies are dispatched 24 hours a day from this office.

The Berlin Barrack of the Maryland State Police also operate on the county 800 MHz system using a different talk group. Being on the same system allows the State Police and Sheriff's Office to monitor each other for back up on serious calls, and to also monitor, and communicate with the municipal police agencies, in the event of a large scale incident in their jurisdictions.
